Cyclox event – End Road Deaths: Learning from Helsinki

Guest speaker: Oskari Kaupinmäki (Helsinki's Cycling Co-ordinator)
Wednesday 25th January 2023  6:30-9:30pm  Cheney School, OX3 7QH.

Eliminating road deaths is possible, but must be more than a slogan. Oxford needs a fundamentally new approach to road safety, as shown by cities such as Helsinki.

We need your help to map out what committed actions are needed!

Oskari Kaupinmäki will present how Helsinki – with a population four times that of Oxford – took deaths of pedestrians and cyclists from 20-30 a year in the 1990s to zero in 2019.
